The 10th Jersey (St Brelade) Scout Group is the largest Scout group in the Island with currently 156 young people from the ages from 6 to 14 years.
We are a mixed group that welcomes and supports young people with special needs. Our excellent facilities have disabled toilet and shower provision, and all of our adult volunteers who make up the leadership team undertake NSPCC child protection awareness training in support of their roles.
There is no shortage of young people wanting to become members of the Group and take advantage of our camping grounds, campfire circle and indoor climbing wall. However, we are always on the lookout for adult volunteers to help in a variety of different ways, that include assistance with the running of the Group as a member of the Executive and / or fundraising committee, hall maintenance, Group administration, as well as involvement with the running of the Beaver, Cub or Scout Sections.
The 10th is renowned for its adventurous programme that encourages outdoor pursuits. We arrange many residential and camping events all year round and many of our volunteer section leaders are also very involved in running Island Scout events.
We are proud of the quality of our Scouting and proud of the many varied achievements of our young people. Join us and join the fun today.
Yours in Scouting
Group Scout Leader.
